What to Bring to Your First Visit

MCHC recommends having these items ready for appointments.

Phreesia Preregistration

For appointments where preregistration is offered, MCHC may send a secure registration invitation by text message or email in the days before the visit. It can ask you to review demographic information, insurance, identification, consent forms and related screening questions.

Use only an invitation that you can verify came through the clinic’s authorized process. If you are uncertain about a message or link, call your office directly.

MCHC Pharmacy: Hours, Prescription Savings & Free Delivery

The on-site MCHC Pharmacy is located inside the main Canton office at 2600 Seventh Street SW. It serves MCHC patients and participates in a 340B prescription savings program for qualifying patients.

Prescription Delivery

The pharmacy advertises free delivery of qualifying prescriptions within a 20-mile radius of My Community Health Center. Deliveries are scheduled on Wednesdays from 11 AM to 4 PM.

The driver contacts patients by phone or text with an approximately 30-minute delivery window. Someone must be home to receive and sign for the medications.

How to Request a Refill

  1. Contact your usual clinic, pharmacy or supported patient portal.
  2. Have your full name, current pharmacy, medication name and callback number ready.
  3. Submit the request before your medication runs out.
  4. Allow up to two business days for the clinic to process a routine refill request, per its FAQ.
  5. Confirm pharmacy pickup or delivery arrangements and any copay.

Delivery and discount eligibility: Free delivery and 340B pricing are subject to the pharmacy’s program requirements. Do not assume prescriptions from every outside clinician qualify.

Patient Portal, Records & Telehealth

MCHC offers patient resources including a patient portal, telehealth guidance, medical-record requests and electronic preregistration information.

Patient Portal

Existing patients can ask the clinic how to activate and access the current portal. The official FAQ says supported portal accounts may be used to request medication refills.

Medical Records

If transferring to a new clinician or requesting a personal copy of your record, use the center’s official medical-record release instructions rather than sending documents to an unrelated third party.

Telehealth

Some appointments may be suitable for remote care. The specific visit type, provider availability, technology requirements and insurance arrangements must be confirmed with scheduling.

After-Hours Medical Questions & Emergency Care

For nonemergency medical concerns after the offices close, established patients can call the main office at 330-363-6242. The answering service can contact an on-call provider.

Gonder and Magnolia also list their direct phone numbers for after-hours contact. Ask your own clinic which number to use for established-patient advice.

Life-threatening emergency: Call 911 for severe breathing difficulty, suspected stroke, severe chest pain, uncontrolled bleeding or other immediately dangerous symptoms. MCHC is a primary-care health center, not a 24-hour emergency department.

Nonemergency Follow-Up

If your concern can wait until ordinary business hours, contact your usual clinic during its posted schedule or use a supported secure portal function. For urgent but non-life-threatening problems, ask the care team whether urgent care is appropriate.
