Corrections Policy

community-center.org/ welcomes correction reports because community center details can change quickly. If a phone number, address, map location, official link, program note, fee detail, or visitor instruction is wrong or outdated, our team can review it manually.

Corrections We Prioritize

  • Wrong or outdated phone numbers.
  • Wrong street addresses or map locations.
  • Broken official links or changed facility pages.
  • Facility closures, relocation, renovation, or renamed centers.
  • Misleading rental, membership, program, or fee information.
  • Safety-related details such as shelter use, emergency instructions, youth program cautions, or accessibility notices.

What We Cannot Correct

We cannot change a center’s official website, city database, map provider record, class schedule, booking system, program eligibility, refund decision, staffing issue, or emergency response information. We can only correct content published on community-center.org/.

How to Report an Error

Send the page URL: Include the exact community-center.org/ page needing review.
Identify the center: Include the center name, city, state, and the detail that appears wrong.
Provide the official source: Include an official city, county, parks department, nonprofit, or center page supporting the correction when possible.
Explain urgency: Tell us if the issue may affect safety, travel, event attendance, accessibility, or payments.
Avoid private information: Do not send private IDs, youth program records, payment details, health forms, or case files.

How We Review Corrections

Correction reports are checked by a human reviewer. We compare the report with official sources where possible. If confirmed, we may update the page, replace a link, correct a phone number, rewrite instructions, add a caution, remove unsupported details, or mark a facility detail as needing official confirmation.

Sometimes official sources conflict or are incomplete. In those cases, we may use safer wording instead of making a strong claim. For example, we may say “call the center or parks department before visiting” rather than claim a program is currently active.
