CookingYouth cooking or food-related enrichment sessions; check age and safety requirements.
EducationSchool-age learning activities, workshops and enrichment.

Adult activitiesSelected recreation, arts and movement programs depending on the season.

How to Register for a Class

  1. Open YourIrvine, the official recreation registration system.
  2. Search for Heritage Park Community Center or the specific activity.
  3. Check the program’s age group, date, location, class length and fee.
  4. Create or sign in to your registration account.
  5. Select the appropriate participant and available session.
  6. Review required documents, registration conditions and cancellation terms.
  7. Complete payment through the official system and save the confirmation.
Useful distinction: The community center’s ordinary visitor hours do not establish class times. A cooking class, youth activity or fitness session may use only a short part of the day.

Which Room Is Right for Your Event?

The craft room may fit a small learning session, craft activity or meeting. Confirm whether its setup accommodates your total attendance.

Medium Meeting

The lounge can accommodate approximately 30–50 attendees and has elevator access to the second floor.

Banquet or Presentation

The multipurpose room offers seating configurations for larger gatherings and an optional dance floor.

Outdoor Celebration

Consider the picnic shelter or lakeside gazebo. Check weather plans, insurance and permitted decorations.

Kitchen rule: The City does not permit cooking food inside the rented kitchen. Prepared or catered food may be kept warm using the available amenities. Barbecuing is prohibited as part of the kitchen arrangement.

Outdoor Picnic Shelter & Gazebo Rules

Heritage Park’s lakeside setting creates additional considerations for outdoor reservations.

  • Picnic Shelter: Up to 200 people for the complete reserved shelter area.
  • Smaller drop-in groups: Groups of 49 or fewer may use available shelter space on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the City’s rules.
  • Insurance: The City requires insurance for outdoor rentals due to proximity to the lake.
  • Gazebo: Up to 200 attendees in the paved area.
  • Electricity: Electrical access is listed under the gazebo bench.
  • Park supervision: Children should be closely supervised around the lake and splash pad.

Before paying for an outdoor event, confirm whether your reservation covers the whole space, the shelter tables, any additional setup and the particular insurance requirements.

Rental Fees, Applications & Booking Process

The City publishes a facility reservation fee schedule. Charges vary by room, applicant group, time, event type and other services. A universal hourly rate for all Heritage Park rooms would be misleading.

InsuranceRequired for outdoor Heritage Park reservations near the lake and potentially other events.
