Plan Your Redlands Community Center Visit: Activities, Rentals & Directions
Redlands Community Center, officially called Joe R. Gonzales Community Center, is a City of Redlands recreation facility at 111 West Lugonia Avenue, Redlands, CA 92374. It provides indoor recreation space, a gymnasium, racquetball courts, a dance studio, classrooms, a multipurpose room and organized community programs.
Whether you want to register for a class, use a recreation space or rent a room for a gathering, the first step is choosing the correct activity. General building hours do not guarantee that every gym, court or class is available for drop-in use.
Information reviewed October 26, 2026. Programs, schedules, rental fees and special closures can change.

For a different California example combining youth enrichment, senior activities and municipal recreation facilities, see our Seven Trees Community Center youth, gym and recreation programs guide. The two cities operate separate enrollment systems and fee schedules.

Room Rentals: Facilities, Capacities & Published Prices

For a separate California municipal example with multipurpose rooms and recreation-based rental fees, our Oak Park Community Center event-space and rental guide provides a useful comparison. Its fees are for Sacramento, not Redlands.

- Tables, chairs, microphones, projectors and other equipment may be available, subject to confirmation.

Step-by-Step: Book a Redlands Community Center Room
- Select your room. Choose a classroom, gym, multipurpose room, dance studio, game room or court based on your activity.
- Check approved attendance. Estimate guests and select the correct room capacity and seating layout.
- Prepare your dates. Include alternatives and allow sufficient notice for approvals and insurance.
- Call for availability. Contact Redlands Recreation at 909-798-7572. Staff can discuss open dates but cannot hold a room by telephone alone.
- Request the latest application. Use the City’s current Facility Rentals page, because older PDF price sheets may have expired.
- Complete the application. Enter the applicant, event date, type, check-in and check-out times, attendance and food-service requirements.
- Arrange insurance. Provide the coverage and City additional-insured endorsements applicable to your event.
- Visit to finalize the reservation. The City’s instructions state that room reservations must be made in person at a community or senior center.
- Pay the required deposit and fees. Obtain a written confirmation of the agreed room, hours, charges and conditions.
- Prepare for event day. Confirm keys/access, room setup, vendors, cleanup, parking and the approved occupancy limit.
Senior Centers: Know Which Facility You Need
Redlands operates senior programs through facilities with their own schedules and contact numbers. One senior center shares the West Lugonia Avenue address with the community center.
Eddie & Gloria Flores Senior Center
111 W. Lugonia Avenue, Redlands, CA 92374
Phone: 909-798-7579
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 AM–2 PM. Thursday: 8 AM–7:30 PM. Closed weekends.
Joslyn Senior Center
21 Grant Street, Redlands, CA 92373
Phone: 909-798-7550
Tuesday–Friday: 9 AM–3 PM, according to the City’s current recreation listing.
For older-adult programs, ask directly about meals, activities, registration, eligibility and transportation support. Sharing an address does not mean the senior center and community center use the same schedule.
Local Youth and Family Services
The Recreation Division primarily provides activity-based services. Visitors needing food assistance, childcare, financial support or broader family services should identify the appropriate agency rather than assuming the gym’s front desk administers those benefits.
For an example of a California nonprofit focused on childcare, food assistance, family counseling and youth enrichment, see our All Peoples Community Center family and youth services guide. That organization serves Los Angeles and does not operate Redlands Community Center.
For Redlands-specific assistance, the City’s Recreation Division also references a community resource booklet of nonprofit providers serving the greater Redlands and San Bernardino area.
