Check Fitness Center Hours, Pool Times & Admission Before Visiting

Pool Hours: Family Swim vs. Lap Swim
Spring Lake FAC operates two different swimming areas. Do not use the building’s opening time as a guarantee that your preferred pool activity is running.
Competition Pool
An eight-lane, 25-yard pool used for lap swimming, lessons, team activities and other scheduled programs.
Lane availability changes because of competitions, instruction and school activities.
Family Pool
Offers a slide, lazy-river-style water feature and other play features. The calendar separates family swimming, quiet swim and water walking.
Hot Tub & Steam Room
Generally operate during facility hours, closing 15 minutes early. Both are restricted to users age 14 and older.
How to Find Today’s Swimming Time
- Choose your pool. Use the family pool for recreational water activities or the competition pool for scheduled lap swimming.
- Open the current month. Find the October 2026 Family Pool or Competition Pool schedule on the official schedules page.
- Match the date. Locate your exact day and check the printed activity window.
- Read the activity label. Lap swim, family swim, quiet swim, water walking and lessons are not interchangeable.
- Confirm changes. Call 616-847-5858 if availability depends on a specific lane, slide, lesson or water feature.
Membership Prices & Guest Admission
The FAC is not a conventional public pool offering unrestricted walk-in admission. General guest access requires an active member sponsor. Swim lessons, however, are available to both members and nonmembers through registration.

Childcare: Who Can Use Little Lakers?
Little Lakers is designed for parents and guardians using the fitness facility who need supervised childcare during their visit.

Fitness Classes, Pickleball & Personal Training
FAC fitness programming includes activities such as yoga, strength training, cycling, aquatics and other instructor-led classes. The schedule changes, and some programs use separate registration.
Class Reservation Rules
- Group fitness classes are listed as members-only.
- Reserve your class through the FAC app or front desk.
- Reservations can be made up to one week in advance.
- Cancel at least two hours ahead if you cannot attend.

Open Gym & Pickleball
The multipurpose gym hosts pickleball, basketball, organized classes and school-related activities. Pickleball is not available for unrestricted use whenever the building is open; check the monthly gym schedule first. The center has been listed with two pickleball courts, but playable space and program access depend on scheduled sessions.
