Programs, Classes & Online Registration

Shakopee Parks and Recreation offers changing seasonal programs for preschoolers, school-age children, teens, adults and active older adults. Categories include swim lessons, fitness, youth sports, aquatics, skate school and community events.

Choose a program category

Start with the City Parks and Recreation programs page and select youth programs, aquatics, active older adults, fitness or another appropriate category.

Read the activity listing

Check the participant age range, date, time, location, registration deadline and resident/nonresident price.

Check availability

Open the official online registration portal. Popular programs may have capacity limits or waiting lists.

Review eligibility and deadlines

If a specific program lists no deadline, the City’s general registration policy uses a seven-day-before-start cutoff. Program-specific rules take priority.

Finish registration

Complete the booking in the official portal and save the receipt and required participant information.

Qualified local residents may be eligible for the Hope Scholarship program. Inquire at least one week before registering so eligibility and funding can be reviewed.
