Kianga Isoke Palacio Park and Outdoor Recreation

Doolittle Community Center sits within the Historic Westside recreation area, near Kianga Isoke Palacio Park. The park provides outdoor recreation opportunities that complement indoor sports and classes.

When planning an outdoor event, distinguish among the Community Center’s indoor room rentals, park permits and the Doolittle Pool’s seasonal rental rules. One reservation generally should not be assumed to cover every nearby facility.

For an outdoor gathering or athletic event, contact the city about the specific location, park rules and whether an additional reservation or permit is required.

Upcoming Community Events and Activities

Doolittle hosts seasonal celebrations, sports activities and family events in addition to its regularly scheduled classes.

Halloween Safe Night — October 31, 2026

The Fall 2026 activity guide lists Halloween Safe Night for Saturday, October 31, from 5–8:30 p.m. It is advertised as a free community event with games, snacks, inflatable play activities and treats.

This special-event time runs later than the center’s usual Saturday closing time, so it should not be used to infer normal weekend access.

Check the center’s calendar or call staff before attending because event arrangements can change.
