- Do I need a referral or prior authorization?

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Going to the Wrong Clinic
DePaul has many locations. Dental, pediatric, WIC and pharmacy access are not identical at every address.
Assuming the $35 Fee Applies to Everyone
The advertised medical self-pay rate is conditional on discount eligibility, and labs may be charged separately.
Arriving After a Specialty Department Closes
Extended building hours do not guarantee that dental, laboratory, pharmacy or every medical specialty is available until closing.
Using the Portal for Emergencies
Portal messages and virtual visits are not substitutes for immediate emergency medical services.
