YMCA membership is not a substitute. Students using after-school Field House or Teen Room activities need the designated activity pass unless they qualify for an exception, such as participation in a scheduled program or YMCA check-in as a member or guest.

How parents can purchase the pass

  1. Open the official 2026–27 student-pass page.
  2. Read the code of conduct, eligibility and check-in requirements.
  3. Check whether the parent already has a FinnlyConnect account.
  4. Add each student to the parent or guardian’s household account.
  5. Purchase the individual student pass using the City’s linked system.
  6. Under Account Details and Membership, open the membership card and save the student’s QR code.
  7. Make sure the student brings their school ID and uses Door #13 to check in.

Each eligible child must have their own pass. Friends without their own qualifying pass cannot simply enter under another student’s membership.

Tot Time, Youth Lessons & Older Adult Programs

Tot Time Open Gym

Tot Time is a nonstructured indoor play program for children ages 6 and under. The City’s published seasonal materials show it commonly operating on Mondays and Thursdays during October–April, with school-calendar exclusions.

  • Adult supervision is required, with a 1:4 adult-to-child ratio.
  • No advance registration is generally needed for drop-in sessions.
  • The January 2026 schedule listed $5 per child.
  • Sessions can feature age-appropriate play equipment, crafts, stories and other activities.
  • Tot Time does not normally meet when Anoka-Hennepin District 11 schools are not in session.

The $5 rate and session times come from a 2026 seasonal calendar, so verify the new season’s rate and dates before attending.

Other recreation programs

ACC also offers or has hosted ice-skating lessons, youth soccer, sports activities and introductory recreational programs. Availability varies by term.

For older adults, published offerings include walking-track access, pickleball, book club, bingo, potlucks and educational sessions. Some are coordinated with the YMCA and may have nonmember charges.

Families comparing preschool activities, recreation and school-age programs can read our Kittery Community Center program guide. Kittery operates under different local policies.

Activity Cancellation & Refund Rules

ACC has published specific policies for City recreation programs and lessons:

  • If the center cancels an activity because of insufficient enrollment, registration fees are returned.
  • Withdrawal at least 7 days before the program starts normally results in a refund minus a $5 processing fee.
  • Withdrawal fewer than 7 days before the start normally results in a 50% refund.
  • Medical emergencies require physician verification for consideration of a partial refund.
  • Missed activity sessions are not refunded or made up.
  • Refund requests should be sent to accinfo@andovermn.gov.

These program rules are separate from the nonrefundable after-school student pass and birthday-party payment provisions.
