How to Reserve a Room, Party or Wedding

  1. Choose the space. Decide whether Meyer Hall, Moreno Room, Lakeshore Room or an outdoor/boathouse option fits your event.
  2. Estimate attendance. Give staff an accurate guest count and explain whether the event is a meeting, birthday, wedding, reception or other gathering.
  3. Prepare dates. Have a preferred date plus one or two alternatives, especially for weekend rentals.
  4. Check the County reservation calendar. Availability can change as reservations are processed.
  5. Call 619-443-9176. Confirm the room, current price, nonprofit eligibility if applicable, required minimum time and additional charges.
  6. Ask about add-ons. Discuss kitchen, stage, tables, chairs, multimedia equipment and any event-specific insurance or security requirements.
  7. Complete the official County reservation. Do not pay an unrelated third-party booking site.
  8. Save your confirmation. Reconfirm access, setup and any construction impacts shortly before the event.

San Diego County also markets Lakeside Community Center as a wedding and reception venue because of its setting beside Lindo Lake. Two indoor spaces have lake views, and outdoor ceremony options may also be available depending on construction and park conditions.

Lindo Lake County Park: What Is Nearby?

Lakeside Community Center sits beside Lindo Lake County Park, one of the main outdoor recreation areas in Lakeside. The park is at 12660 Lindo Lane and is generally open from sunrise to sunset.

Walking & nature

The park has approximately 1.5 miles of ADA-friendly multi-use trails, bird-watching areas and outdoor fitness stations.

Family recreation

Facilities include picnic areas, playgrounds, a skate park, softball space, horseshoe areas and nearby courts.

Events & weddings

The lake, boathouse and community center support approved private events, ceremonies and receptions.

Important: Lindo Lake Construction Through 2027

San Diego County says a Lindo Lake west-basin improvement project is anticipated to begin in fall 2026 and continue through winter 2027.

Most community-center activities and existing park reservations are expected to continue. However, construction may temporarily affect areas such as the boathouse island, peninsula road and some trail segments. If a reservation is directly affected, County staff says they will contact the renter to discuss relocation, another date or a refund.

This matters particularly for weddings, outdoor photography, boathouse events and anyone planning to combine a community-center rental with lakeside outdoor space.

Map, Directions & Arrival

Use 9841 Vine St., Lakeside, CA 92040 for the community center itself. Do not automatically navigate to the Lindo Lake park address if your class, rental or appointment is inside the Community Center.

Accessibility, Parking & First-Time Visitor Tips

The County reservation system identifies Lakeshore Room as an ADA-accessible facility. Lindo Lake also has ADA-friendly trail sections. If you require a particular entrance, seating arrangement, mobility accommodation or accessible path between the center and an outdoor event area, call ahead.

  • Use the Vine Street address for the Community Center.
  • Confirm your exact class or court schedule before leaving home.
  • For weekend visits, verify that you are attending an approved rental or scheduled activity.
  • Ask where guests should park if you are hosting a large event.
  • Check Lindo Lake construction notices when your visit includes outdoor areas.
  • Bring any registration confirmation or rental paperwork needed for check-in.
