  • Bring valid photo identification for admission and residency verification.
  • Resident pricing requires living within Shakopee city limits, not just having a Shakopee mailing address.
  • Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
  • Walking-track-only visitors must still check in at the front desk.
  • Individual activities may be limited by capacity, schedule or age requirements.
Family cost example: Two adults and two children ages 1 or older would pay $44 in resident daily admission or $64 in nonresident daily admission before separately priced activities or purchases. A membership may be a better value for frequent visits.

Ice Arena: Open Skate, Lessons & Rentals

Skate rental$6 resident / $9 nonresident
Open hockey$11 resident / $16 nonresident; separate equipment rules apply
Prime fall/winter ice rental$245/hour plus sales tax

Youth Supervision & Visitor Rules

The updated youth-access policy effective September 8, 2026 uses grade level as a primary factor for supervision.

Age / GradeGeneral Access Rule
Age 0–11Direct supervision within the same activity or amenity
Age 12 through ninth gradeResponsible adult must remain in the building
Tenth grade and olderIndependent facility access under general policy

Supervision must be provided by a parent, guardian or responsible adult age 16 or older. The pool, fitness center and classes may have stricter requirements. A youth access tag verifies permission but does not waive admission charges.

Important: Always follow the stricter rule if the activity has a separate supervision policy. For example, young swimmers need an adult in the water even when the general building rule allows broader supervision.

Older Adult Programs & Šakpe ti Lounge

The Šakpe ti Lounge is a social gathering space for active older adults with comfortable seating, tables, television, coffee and kitchen facilities. The adjoining Community Room may be used during designated hours when it is not booked for another event.

Older adult visitors can also explore recreation classes, fitness programs and community activities. Some require separate registration or fees.
