Rooms, Facilities & Maximum Capacities
The Community Center is approximately 28,000 square feet and offers two primary banquet rooms plus smaller meeting spaces. The City publishes capacity limits for different seating styles; a room’s advertised maximum is not necessarily its practical wedding or dinner capacity.
| Room | Theater | Banquet with dance floor | Banquet without dance floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yorba Room | 506 | 248 | 328 |
| Yorba Room — 1/3 | 168 | 32 | 112 |

| Activity Room B | 55 | 40 |
| Club Room | 52 | 40 |

Booking minimums

Minimum rental period.
Minimum Saturday or Sunday rental.
Other expenses to include
- Initial booking payment: $500 per room, unless full payment is required under the City’s short-notice or lower-total rules.
- Setup and cleanup: A minimum of one hour each must be included in the reserved time.
- Liability insurance: Required for all rental users. City-arranged coverage is advertised at approximately $69–$500 based on the event.
- Security: Events serving alcohol with 100 or more people require contracted security. The City lists $34 per hour for one guard.
- Other expenses: Ask about refundable security deposits, catering, equipment, staffing, damage charges and special arrangements.
Example: Why rental time matters
Suppose your event lasts four hours and you need one hour for setup and one hour for cleanup. The rental typically covers six billable hours, not four.
Using the older $125/hour resident weekday Imperial Room example, six hours would total $750 before insurance, deposits and other charges. This is an illustration, not a current booking estimate.

- Is the proposed decoration plan permitted?
- How much setup and cleanup time will be billed?
- Does your event require security, insurance paperwork or additional City approval?

How to Reserve a Room: Step-by-Step
The City requires in-person completion of the reservation process. Submitting a form or emailing an inquiry alone does not automatically secure your event date.
Prepare the event type, preferred date, alternative dates, estimated guest count and desired room layout.
Yorba Linda resident nonprofit organizations can apply up to 18 months ahead; Yorba Linda residents and commercial businesses up to 15 months; nonresident organizations and individuals up to 12 months ahead.
Contact the rental office at 714-961-7181 or YLCCEventRentals@yorbalindaca.gov with your event details and residency classification.
Complete the applicable facility rental application and policies/procedures forms. Nonprofits, churches and government agencies may need classification-specific paperwork.
Ask whether your existing policy satisfies City requirements or if you must purchase event liability insurance through the City’s designated option.
The person named on the contract must attend in person to complete the reservation and provide required documentation, including residency proof when applicable.
The City publishes a $500 initial payment per room. If your total fee is below $500 or your event is within 60 days, full payment is required at booking.
Confirm approved hours, setup, cleanup, decorations, food service, insurance, security and cancellation terms in your signed agreement.
Important Rental Policies & Restrictions
| Rule | What it means for your event |
|---|---|
| Contract holder | The person signing the agreement is responsible for guests, event conduct and damage, and must be present throughout the rental. |
| Insurance | Rental users must provide acceptable liability coverage or purchase qualifying coverage through the City’s provider. |
| Alcohol | Additional restrictions apply; events with alcohol and at least 100 guests require City-contracted security. |
| Reservation hours | Event and room rental time must account for setup and cleanup, not just guest attendance. |
| Weekend banquet rentals | Minimum seven-hour rental, with banquet rooms not divisible for weekend reservations. |
| Residency | Residency classification affects price and how early a reservation can be made; proof is required. |
| Cancellations | Applicable notice periods and refund conditions depend on signed City rental policies. Review these before payment. |
| Decorations | Ask about permitted adhesives, open flames, furniture movement and cleanup obligations before planning decorations. |
