Which Pass Makes Sense?

Occasional Visitor

For one or two visits, a day pass is usually simplest. Four adult visits at $12 each cost $48, before considering a 30-day plan.

Regular Fitness or Swim Visitor

Five adult day passes cost $60. A 30-day individual membership costs $51 for residents or $66 for non-residents. This makes the resident plan potentially worthwhile from the fifth visit, assuming eligible access.

Each paid annual member receives two free day passes under the published 2026 membership policy. Memberships generally include pools, fitness equipment and the indoor walking/running track. Some instructor-led activities require separate enrollment and payment.

Who Qualifies for Worthington Resident Prices?

Resident rates are available to qualifying people who live or work within Worthington city limits, including eligible spouses and children of the household.

  • Living in Worthington: Two proofs of residency are required. Examples include a driver’s license, utility bill and bank statement.
  • Working in Worthington: Employment must be at least 20 hours weekly for a company within city limits. A pay stub issued within 30 days showing Worthington City tax withholding is required.
  • Adults in the household: Members aged 18 and older must provide their own qualifying residency documentation.
  • College pass: Available to qualifying enrolled students aged 25 or younger with proof of enrollment. The published pass includes 120 annual visits.

Do not assume that a Columbus, Dublin, Westerville or other nearby mailing address qualifies for Worthington’s resident discount. City boundaries and tax eligibility determine the rate.

How to Buy a Membership or Day Pass

  1. Visit the official Community Center page.
  2. Choose the membership or day-pass option, or open the official online registration link.
  3. Create a recreation account if you are a first-time customer, or sign in to your existing account.
  4. Select the correct pass or membership for your age, household size and eligibility.
  5. Provide residency or enrollment proof if requesting a discounted category.
  6. Review the price, terms and eligibility before paying.
  7. Keep your confirmation and follow the center’s check-in instructions. Members should bring their membership key tag.

Annual and 30-day memberships are generally nonrefundable and nontransferable except approved hardship cases. Ask customer service about any cancellation or hardship request before purchase.

Indoor Pools, Lazy River and Water Slide

The aquatic complex is a major reason families visit Worthington Community Center. It includes a leisure pool for recreational swimming and a separate fitness pool for structured swimming and exercise.

Leisure Pool

  • Zero-depth entry for gradual water access
  • Lazy river for recreational use
  • Two-story water slide
  • Family and open swim sessions
  • Nearby locker rooms and family changing areas

Fitness Pool

  • Four lap-swimming lanes
  • Lap swimming and water walking
  • Swim instruction
  • Water aerobics
  • Scheduled aquatic fitness activities

Important Family Swimming Rules

  • Children aged 4 and younger must have an adult in the water, within arm’s reach.
  • Children aged 5–7 must have adult supervision in the pool area.
  • The main blue slide has a published minimum height of 48 inches and operates subject to staffing.
  • Spa access is restricted to guests aged 16 and older.
  • Everyone entering the pool area, including nonswimmers, must be an eligible paying guest or member.
  • Families should follow lifeguard instructions and the current aquatics rules.

These requirements are described in the City’s aquatics materials. Facility policies can be updated; staff instructions take precedence.

How to Check Pool Availability Before Driving

  1. Open the official Worthington Aquatics page.
  2. Find the currently posted pool schedule and its effective dates.
  3. Identify the activity you actually want: family swim, lazy river, lap swimming or fitness class.
  4. Check its available time rather than assuming the activity runs throughout building hours.
  5. If bringing children, confirm slide availability and supervision requirements.
  6. Call (614) 436-2743 if availability is unclear.
Plan ahead: The aquatic schedule published in September 2026 covers September 8–November 22, 2026. Individual swim periods and lane assignments vary during that period. Always match your planned visit to the correct schedule.

Fitness, Sports, Classes and Recreation Programs

The center offers more than swimming. Programs change with seasonal recreation guides, so participants should distinguish amenities available through membership from activities requiring registration.

Fitness Center

Cardio equipment, strength training and free weights for eligible users.

Indoor Track

Climate-controlled walking and running space for year-round activity.

Gymnasiums

Two gym spaces used for scheduled basketball, pickleball and other recreational sports.

Swimming Instruction

Parent-child classes and progressive lessons for different ability levels.

Water Fitness

Water aerobics, aquatic exercise and selected senior-friendly activities.

Arts & Youth Activities

Art studios, children’s programs and seasonal educational or recreational sessions.

Swim Lessons by Age and Ability

The City’s 2026 recreation materials describe parent-child instruction for infants and toddlers, including a level for approximately 6–18 months and another for 18 months–3 years. Older children and other swimmers may enroll in age- and skill-appropriate classes when offered.

For parent-child lessons, an adult participates in the water. For independent lessons, use the course description to check swimming ability, age limits, prerequisites and required equipment.

Water Aerobics and Aquatic Fitness

Published 2026 spring programming included water aerobics, SilverSneakers Splash, aqua yoga and other water-based exercise options. One published water-aerobics program listed $7 per resident class and $9 per nonresident class. That is a seasonal reference rate, not a guarantee for later sessions.

Some classes use weekly enrollment windows, while others require advance course registration. Check the current session before attending.

How to Register for a Class

  1. Start at Worthington Parks & Recreation.
  2. Open the latest Activities & Recreation Guide or the official Online Registration link.
  3. Choose a category such as swimming, aquatics, fitness, art, youth programs or sports.
  4. Read the course’s age eligibility, dates, location, resident/nonresident fee and registration opening date.
  5. Create or sign in to your recreation account.
  6. Select an available session and participant.
  7. Complete any required participant details, consent forms and payment.
  8. Save the confirmation and arrive at the scheduled session time.

Residents and members may receive priority registration on certain programs. An active recreation account does not guarantee a place in a full class. Questions about registration can be directed to the center at (614) 436-2743.

Older Adults and Insurance-Based Memberships

Adults aged 60 and older qualify for the published senior membership category. Worthington also participates in select insurance-based fitness programs for eligible customers, including SilverSneakers, Prime and Renew Active. Eligibility depends on the applicable benefit.

Ask the customer service desk to verify your specific insurance membership before assuming the plan is free or includes every class. The separate Griswold Center at 777 High Street also offers programs for older adults.

Worthington Community Center Room and Gym Rentals

The center offers reservable indoor spaces for birthday celebrations, showers, meetings, group activities and sports. Costs vary by space, residency, day and type of booking.

Best Way to Plan Your First Visit

Visiting With Children

Start with the family swim schedule rather than the center’s general opening time. Check admission for each visitor, slide height requirements and supervision rules.

Visiting for Fitness

Compare a day pass with the 30-day membership. If you want lap swimming or court sports, verify the specific activity schedule before traveling.

Booking an Event

Decide the expected guest count first. A 70-person room may suit larger gatherings, while a dedicated swim package works better for eligible swimming parties.

Joining a Program

Choose the current seasonal guide, confirm age or skill requirements, and register before the activity fills. Membership does not automatically register someone for a class.
