Visit Upper Arlington Community Center: What to Know First
Upper Arlington Community Center is officially named Bob Crane Community Center. Located at 3200 Tremont Road, Upper Arlington, OH 43221, this City-operated facility offers indoor swimming, fitness equipment, basketball, pickleball, an indoor walking track, children’s activities, classes, event spaces and more.
For a first visit, the most important decisions are whether you need a day pass, membership, registered program or rental, and whether your chosen activity is available at the time you plan to arrive.
Information reviewed October 28, 2026. Swimming, fitness classes, gym reservations and holiday activities may follow schedules different from general building hours.

How to Get the Resident Rate
Living in the Upper Arlington School District does not automatically establish City residency. Residents and qualifying employees within the City boundaries must verify their status.
- Open the official Upper Arlington membership and verification page.
- Create or update your household account using the City’s recreation registration system.
- Enter the correct household members and personal information.
- Prepare the accepted evidence, such as a government ID, utility bill, lease or employment verification.
- Upload the requested proof through your account, or visit the Parks & Recreation office at 3200 Tremont Road.
- Wait for resident status confirmation before purchasing an eligible membership or registering during resident-priority enrollment.
People who work within Upper Arlington boundaries and their household members may also qualify for resident pricing. If the City has not verified your household, the account may show non-resident fees.

Indoor Pool: Admission, Swimming and Safety
The Bob Crane indoor pool is on Level 1. It includes four lap lanes, a zero-depth entry, water-play features, a slide and accessible pool entry equipment.
Regular pool closing times are:
- Monday–Friday: approximately 9:30 PM.
- Saturday–Sunday: approximately 7:30 PM.
These are general closing times, not guaranteed lap-swim or open-swim sessions. Lessons, organized activities and maintenance may affect availability.
What to Check Before Swimming
- Open the official Bob Crane Community Center website.
- Select the published pool schedule.
- Find your intended date and desired activity: lap swim, open swim or lessons.
- Confirm the participant’s age and required adult supervision.
- Check whether a day pass, membership or separate class registration is needed.
- Bring appropriate swimwear and allow time for check-in and changing.
Children age 9 and younger generally require direct supervision by a responsible person within the facility. Pool-specific restrictions should be confirmed before entering the water.
Fitness, Pickleball and Indoor Walking
The main gymnasiums support basketball, volleyball and pickleball, but open-play availability changes when classes, leagues or rentals occupy a court.
The City’s posted gym schedule is the starting point. Staff recommend calling 614-583-5300 to verify the current day’s open-gym or pickleball availability.
The indoor track is on Level 5. It has three lanes, with approximately 12 laps making one mile. Visitors age 13 and older may use the track independently under posted facility rules; children ages 8–12 require direct parent or guardian supervision.

Child Watch, Indoor Playground and E-Sports
| Service | Important Details |

| Child Watch | For children ages 6 months–9 years. Available in sessions up to two hours, subject to capacity. |

Child Watch Hours
| Monday–Friday | 8 AM–1 PM and 4 PM–8 PM |
|---|---|
| Saturday | 8 AM–Noon |
| Sunday | Closed |
Child Watch uses prepaid visit passes rather than ordinary advance reservations. The published charge is $6 for members or $12 for nonmembers for one visit. A completed participant registration form is required, and the adult responsible for the child must remain on site.
E-Sports has separate access charges. The City’s published options include a $10 monthly unlimited gaming add-on for eligible members and single visits priced at $4 for residents or center members and $8 for non-residents. An active membership or qualifying day pass is also required for single-visit access.
Schedules, availability and fees can change, so check current arrangements through the official membership and service information.
Classes, Swim Lessons and Program Registration
Upper Arlington Parks & Recreation offers scheduled recreational activities for children, teens, adults and older residents. These may include swimming, fitness, arts, sports and educational programs.
Important: Paid program participation does not necessarily require a community center membership, but registration is required for programs. Nonmembers attending a registered class cannot automatically use the pool, fitness equipment or other membership areas.
Register for an Activity
- Go to the official community center page.
- Choose the class or program registration option.
- Open the City’s recreation registration portal.
- Sign in or create an account and enter the participant’s details.
- Search the program by activity category, age, date or location.
- Review resident/member pricing, requirements, availability and cancellation terms.
- Complete registration and payment through the official portal.
- Save your confirmation and follow any instructions about equipment or arrival.
Nonmembers normally may enter no earlier than 30 minutes before their registered program and are expected to leave when it concludes.
