October 2026 update: The Englewood clinic’s official page lists a reopening date of October 12, 2026. Oneida’s pharmacy is advertised as becoming available in January 2027, so do not assume it is operating in October 2026.

Need Saturday medical care?

Peoria is the location currently listing Saturday clinic hours, 8 AM–2 PM.

Need pharmacy and medical care?

Consider Peoria, Geneva or Wheat Ridge, but check the pharmacy’s separate opening hours.

What Services Does STRIDE Community Health Center Offer?

STRIDE combines primary healthcare with selected specialty, dental, pharmacy and support programs. The services below are offered across its network, not necessarily at every clinic.

Primary & Preventive Care

Checkups, everyday health concerns, preventive screenings, immunization discussions, chronic disease follow-up and coordination of ongoing care.

Pediatric Care

Healthcare for infants, children and teens, including preventive visits, growth and development monitoring, and common childhood medical concerns.

Women’s Health

Well-woman visits, Pap tests, family planning, contraception, menopause care, screening and referrals when specialized treatment is needed.

Behavioral Health

Counseling, screening, medication management when appropriate, and support for anxiety, depression, trauma and substance-use concerns.

Dental Care

Preventive and treatment-focused dental services subject to eligibility, provider availability and insurance or financial-assistance rules.

Prenatal & Newborn Care

Pregnancy visits, birth planning, postpartum support, breastfeeding help, newborn assessments and coordination with obstetric and pediatric services.

Infectious Disease Care

Selected STI, HIV and infectious disease testing, prevention, treatment, referrals and longer-term care management.

Older Adult Care

Age-friendly healthcare with attention to independence, chronic conditions and coordinated support for adults age 60 and older.

Mobile & School-Based Care

Community-based programs that bring selected health services closer to students and patients outside traditional clinic settings.

A service being listed network-wide does not establish that an appointment or specific treatment is available at every location.

Same-day needs

Does STRIDE Accept Walk-In Patients?

Yes, at designated Convenient Care locations. These clinics address non-emergency illnesses and injuries. STRIDE lists Wheat Ridge, Hampden & Chambers, Peoria and Geneva for Convenient Care.

Examples of Walk-In Concerns

  • Cold symptoms, sore throat or ear infection
  • Urinary tract symptoms
  • Minor rashes or skin infections
  • Sprains and uncomplicated injuries
  • Minor cuts requiring assessment
  • Selected STI testing or treatment
  • Medication-refill requests
  • Other non-emergency symptoms

Not a Full Emergency Department

Convenient Care does not provide X-rays, CT scans or other imaging, and laboratory capabilities are limited.

It does not handle routine annual physicals, annual wellness visits, workers’ compensation visits, or disability/FMLA paperwork as walk-in services.

Emergency safety: Call 911 for potentially life-threatening symptoms such as severe chest pain, significant trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding or loss of consciousness. Do not travel to a walk-in clinic instead of emergency care.

Open Access Scheduling Is Different

STRIDE also offers Open Access Scheduling at its clinics except Wheat Ridge and Peoria. Many appointments are made within roughly three days, with some openings up to two weeks ahead. This is a scheduling model, not a guarantee of an immediate walk-in appointment.

STRIDE Sliding-Fee Scale, Insurance & Payment

STRIDE is a Federally Qualified Health Center and offers discounted essential services based on family size and income. Patients can receive care without insurance, but a reduced fee is not necessarily a zero-dollar fee.

Insurance Accepted

STRIDE lists participation with Colorado Medicaid programs, CHP+, certain Medicare coverage and commercial plans including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Humana, Select Health and UnitedHealthcare, among others.

Exact coverage depends on the insurance product, provider and service.

Plans Listed as Not Accepted

  • Out-of-state Medicaid
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Rocky Mountain Health Plan

STRIDE states that applicable copays must be collected before visits begin.

How Sliding-Fee Discounts Work

1
Tell STRIDE that you are uninsured or need help paying for medical services.
2
Gather household-size and income information for all applicable household members.
3
Complete the financial assessment using the official patient process.
4
Ask staff to explain your discount eligibility, estimated charges, and what may not be included.
5
Schedule the clinical appointment. A financial-intake appointment by itself does not register you as a STRIDE medical patient.
Do not assume a universal visit price. STRIDE does not publish one fixed charge covering every examination, dental procedure, laboratory test or treatment. Your actual charges depend on the service, coverage, and financial assessment.
