Fee Waivers and Financial Assistance in 2026

RCC operates a Fee Waiver Program designed to make eligible classes, camps, trips and performances more accessible.

The published 2026 policy offers $400 in annual fee-waiver credits per eligible applicant for the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30.

Eligible Uses
  • RCC classes.
  • Summer camps.
  • Trips.
  • Professional Touring Artist Series performances.
  • Qualifying RCC passes.
Not Covered
  • Facility rentals.
  • Private swim lessons and similar personal training.
  • Unrelated point-of-sale charges.
  • Other excluded services identified by RCC.

Fee Waiver Enrollment Charges

The 2026 policy lists a $5 non-refundable enrollment fee for each eligible class, trip, performance ticket or RCC pass, and $10 per week for summer camp enrollment using credits.

Applications require proof of qualifying circumstances and documentation of household members. RCC provides an application, an eligibility FAQ and a list of accepted documents.

Eligibility is specific: the program is intended for qualifying people living or working in Reston’s Small District 5. Receiving fee-waiver credits does not guarantee that a class or camp still has open places.
