How to choose the right class

Start with the participant’s ageUse the official age range or school-grade requirement, especially for swim lessons and gymnastics.
Choose the program categoryUse Greater Midland’s program directory and select Preschool, Youth or Adult.
Check skill level and datesReview prerequisites, session start date, weekly meeting times and available places.
Compare the total costLook at the participant fee, any member discount and what equipment is needed.
Complete registrationContinue to the official registration system, enter participant information and retain the confirmation.
Parent tip: Don’t choose a swim or gymnastics class on age alone. A beginner and an experienced child of the same age may require different levels. Ask staff for guidance if you’re unsure.

Swimming, Gym, Fitness & Family Facilities

The Community Center’s newer facility opened in May 2024 and brings multiple recreational areas into one building.

Swimming Pool

Multiuse aquatics with recreational and lap swimming opportunities, splash features and a waterslide. Pool availability depends on scheduled activities.

Gymnasiums

Indoor courts support basketball, volleyball, pickleball and other scheduled sports or activities.

Walking Track

An elevated indoor walking/running track provides an alternative to outdoor exercise during Midland’s colder months.

Fitness Facilities

Wellness and exercise areas include fitness equipment, free weights and group fitness studios.

Spa & Sauna

Additional wellness amenities are available, subject to the facility’s age restrictions, operating rules and maintenance schedule.

Child Watch
