Camp Jubilee: Practical Enrollment Information

The published summer camp guide identifies two sessions, one in June and one in July. Programming is generally scheduled from 8 AM to 2 PM, with limited pickup availability until 3 PM.

Published camp cost: Free, including meals. Enrollment is not automatic; space is limited and parent orientation is required before enrollment is confirmed.

Jubilee says priority goes to children already participating in afterschool programming, residents of ZIP codes 75223, 75210 and 75227, and participants in other Jubilee programs. Remaining spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Identify your child’s grade, age and the program needed.
  2. Review the official Camp Jubilee information.
  3. Contact the education team to confirm the current session and whether applications are open.
  4. Ask about eligibility, required documents, pickup arrangements, dietary requirements and program capacity.
  5. Complete the official enrollment steps and mandatory parent orientation before treating the place as confirmed.

For broader recreation-focused activities rather than Jubilee’s education-oriented services, our community recreation center guide explains how to check classes, activity schedules, fees and registration requirements at municipal centers.

Food Pantry & Emergency Assistance

Jubilee Park operates a food pantry serving families experiencing food insecurity. The food pantry is a separate service location, so visitors should not automatically travel to the main office at 917 Bank Street.

For October 2026, Jubilee’s calendar identifies appointment-required pantry sessions including October 24 from 9 AM–3 PM and October 28 from 9 AM–6 PM. These are examples of published event dates, not permanent weekly pantry hours.

How to Request Pantry Help

  1. Call 214-887-1364, extension 247, or review the current food pantry calendar.
  2. Explain your household situation and ask whether appointments are available.
  3. Confirm whether there are ZIP-code, residency, household-size or other eligibility requirements.
  4. Ask which documents, if any, must be brought to the appointment.
  5. Verify your appointment time and the 4603 Gurley Avenue location.
  6. Attend the confirmed session and follow pantry staff instructions.
Do not arrive without confirming: Pantry distribution is listed as appointment-required. A calendar entry does not guarantee that walk-ins will be accepted or that food supplies remain available.

Emergency financial assistance for rent, mortgage or utilities is a different service from the pantry. Ask the Opportunity team about available funding, qualifying households, required documents and application procedures.

Readers researching similar nonprofit support models can also consult our All Peoples Community Center guide, which covers a separate Los Angeles organization offering family resources, food assistance and neighborhood services.
