Holland Aquatic Center Hours

HAC operates different pools and fitness areas simultaneously. Its posted general schedule does not mean every slide, swimming lane or family attraction is open all day.

DayPosted fitness and warm-zone hours
Monday5:30 AM–8:30 PM
Tuesday5:30 AM–8:30 PM
Wednesday5:30 AM–8:30 PM
Thursday5:30 AM–8:30 PM
Friday5:30 AM–8:30 PM
Saturday7 AM–7 PM
Sunday10 AM–5:30 PM
Check the activity, not just the building: The 50-meter pool, Splash Zone, Discovery Pool, lazy river and other aquatic areas use specific daily schedule blocks. Meets, team practices, lessons, maintenance and holidays may change availability.

The current official daily activity calendar shows individual pools, lap lanes, family sessions, fitness areas and scheduled programs.

How to Check Whether a Pool Is Open

  1. Open the official HAC schedule.
  2. Find the date you plan to visit.
  3. Choose the correct area: 50-meter pool, Warm Zone, Splash Zone, Activity Pool or Discovery Pool.
  4. Read the specific activity name and start/end time.
  5. Check whether it is public access, a class, team practice or private reservation.
  6. Call 616-393-7595 if you need guaranteed access to a particular feature.

2026–27 Single-Visit Admission Fees

The official rates below became effective September 1, 2026. Resident prices apply to households within the Holland Public School District.

  • Lap swimming and aqua jogging.
  • Fitness center access, subject to age rules.
  • Indoor walking and running track.
  • Spa, sauna and steam room access where available.
One entry only: A single-visit pass is not an all-day re-entry ticket. If you leave the facility, you must pay again to enter. Swim lessons, instructor-led classes, special events and private rentals are not included in ordinary admission.

Resident Proof Checklist

Resident discounts are based on residence inside the Holland Public School District, not simply having a mailing address that says Holland.

Acceptable documentation can include a valid driver’s license, state ID, signed lease or utility bill displaying your name and eligible address.

Groups of 20 or more: Group admission arrangements are available. Call Guest Services to request group pricing and confirm the planned activity.

For guidance on evaluating day passes, resident discounts and pool access at recreation facilities generally, see our community recreation center pass and pool checklist. HAC’s own posted prices take priority.

Monthly Membership Rates: 2026–27

What Counts as a Family Membership?

HAC’s published family definition allows up to two adults, three students ages 18–23, and six children ages 0–17, all living at the same address. Eligibility and household documentation may be checked during enrollment.

Which Option Saves Money?

ExampleUseful comparison
Resident adult Seven separate $8 visits cost $56, compared with a $49 monthly membership before joining fees.
Standard adult Six separate $14.50 visits cost $87, compared with $80 monthly dues before joining fees.
Resident senior Six $7 visits cost $42, compared with $39 monthly dues before joining fees.
Include the joining fee: A monthly membership may not save money for a short first month because the initial joining fee applies. Compare your expected visits over the complete membership period.

How to Become a Member

  1. Choose adult, senior or family membership.
  2. Determine whether your address qualifies for resident pricing.
  3. Bring identification and proof of residency where applicable.
  4. Visit the HAC Guest Services desk during operating hours.
  5. Review dues, joining fees, benefits and billing terms.
  6. Complete the membership agreement and make the required payment.
  7. Ask about the cancellation deadline before leaving.

HAC does not currently offer a complete online membership signup. New members must enroll through the front desk.

Cancellation timing: For monthly membership cancellation, HAC asks for requests on or before the 20th of the month to take effect on the first day of the following month. Later requests can result in another billing cycle.

Pools & Aquatic Features

Holland Aquatic Center is more than a traditional single-pool community facility. Its aquatic areas accommodate competitive swimming, family recreation, therapeutic exercise and instructed programs.

50-Meter Competition Pool

The multipurpose 50-meter pool supports lap swimming, swim meets, diving, team practice and competitive events. Lane configuration and availability vary. The facility includes spectator seating.

Warm-Water Community Lap Pool

The six-lane, 20-yard community pool is maintained around 84°F according to the facility schedule. It is useful for lap swimming, water exercise and lower-impact activities.

Splash Zone

Family attractions include a zero-entry play area, water slide, interactive water features and activity spaces. Access is during designated Splash Time sessions.

Activity Pool & Lazy River

The lazy river and activity pool support family fun as well as water walking and fitness programs. Different activities occupy the area at different times.

Discovery Pool

Formerly the Therapy Pool, this area accommodates open swimming and specialized aquatic programs during designated hours.

Spa, Sauna & Steam Room

The Warm Zone includes these relaxation amenities. Access depends on the facility rules, schedule, maintenance and any posted age restrictions.

For a comparison with another Michigan facility offering an indoor aquatic center, our Warren Community Center swimming and activity guide explains the importance of checking swim hours and maintenance notices separately. It is not a second Holland location.

Pool Rules, Supervision & Spectator Access

Swimming safety is particularly important for children and first-time visitors. HAC publishes rules about supervision, admission and family changing rooms.

  • Children under 42 inches tall require an adult guardian within arm’s reach.
  • Anyone passing the front desk into the pool area generally requires paid admission.
  • Free viewing may be available from the upstairs 50-meter pool bleachers.
  • Pool activities and play features may have additional posted height and safety rules.
  • Follow lifeguard instructions and check all posted rules before entering the water.
  • Use the Universal Change Room if private or accessible changing arrangements are needed.
A parent planning only to watch a child from poolside should not automatically assume admission is free. Ask whether free upstairs spectator seating meets your needs.

The Universal Change Room provides private changing and shower areas for individuals, families and visitors needing additional privacy or accessibility.

Which HAC Pass Is Best for Your Visit?

Your situationPractical choice
One family swim day Single-visit admission during a scheduled Splash session.

Frequent weekly swims Compare monthly membership and joining fee.
Regular long-term use Compare annual membership prices with monthly billing.
Child learning to swim Separate swim lesson enrollment.
Birthday celebration Party room package with Splash access.
Group of 20 or more Request a group admission arrangement.
Quick cost decision: Start with the number of visits you actually expect in a month. Then compare admission totals against membership dues plus the joining fee. A membership may be a poor value for a single holiday visit, even if the monthly rate looks attractive.
