Daily Admission: Resident vs Non-Resident

Membership is not necessary for an occasional visit. Firstenburg sells daily drop-in admission, with fees based on age and whether you live within Vancouver city limits.

AgeCity residentNon-resident
0–3 years$4$5
4–18 years$7$9
19–64 years$11$14
65+ years$8$10
First-time visitor: the City requires drop-in users to have a free ActiveNet account. Create one before arriving or ask the front desk to help during your first visit.

City-resident pricing depends on living inside the Vancouver city limits, not merely having a Vancouver postal address. The City’s online city-limits map can help establish eligibility.

Monthly Membership Prices and What Is Included

Membership typeResidentNon-resident
Youth, 0–18$22/month$28/month
Adult, 19–64$41/month$51/month
Senior, 65+$34/month$43/month
Family of 4$97/month$121/month
Family of 5$109/month$133/month
Family of 6$121/month$145/month

A family membership covers people living in the same household, with no more than two adults. The City asks members to maintain their pass for a minimum of six months, with automatic monthly payment by debit or credit card.

Included benefits: access to Firstenburg fitness areas, indoor track, pool, climbing wall, organized sports and gymnasium; access to Marshall Community Center fitness center, pool and gym; and eligible group exercise and water exercise classes at both centers.

Cancellation: submit the City’s membership cancellation form by the 24th of the month before the cancellation takes effect.

Which is better? At the resident adult rate, four $11 visits cost $44, exceeding the $41 monthly membership. However, the City’s requested minimum six-month commitment matters, so a membership is better suited to regular ongoing use rather than a single busy month.

Some eligible seniors may qualify for access through insurance-based fitness programs such as SilverSneakers, Silver&Fit or Renew Active. Verify participation and eligibility with the center and your plan before paying.
