Weekend-hours difference: Clark County’s general community center page says Saturday closed, but its fitness-room page lists Saturday fitness access from 8 AM to noon. This does not mean every recreation facility is open Saturday. Call before traveling for weekend exercise.

Swimming hours may change during facility breaks, weather disruptions, pool maintenance or special events. The aquatic complex also contains seasonal outdoor attractions with separate opening dates.

Fitness Room Fees: Daily, Monthly & Annual Passes

The fitness room has treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, dumbbells and resistance-training equipment. Membership can be purchased on a daily, monthly or annual basis.

Age groupDailyMonthlyYearly
Teens 13–17$3$15$105
Adults 18–54$4$16$115
Seniors 55+$1$5*$35

*The official fitness webpage lists $15 for a senior monthly membership, while published county fee documents and the center brochure list $5. Confirm the applicable current monthly senior rate before purchasing. Other listed rates agree across these sources.

Fitness room age and safety rules

  • Users must complete a fitness waiver and orientation before using equipment for the first time.
  • Teenagers ages 13–15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Wear suitable athletic clothing and shoes.
  • Bring a towel and water bottle.
  • Clean equipment after use and follow staff instructions.
  • Ask about the current fitness-room rules before starting a new membership.

How to purchase your first fitness pass

  1. Choose your pass: Compare your expected visits against the daily, monthly and yearly fees above.
  2. Confirm the schedule: Call 702-455-8334 and ask whether your preferred workout times are available.
  3. Visit the front desk: Explain your age category and the pass type you want.
  4. Complete orientation: Sign the required waiver and complete the initial equipment orientation.
  5. Pay and activate: Purchase the applicable pass using the facility’s accepted payment method.
  6. Use the room: Follow posted equipment, hygiene and youth supervision rules.

Which pass is the better value?

For an adult at $4 per visit, a $16 monthly pass equals four daily admissions. Someone exercising five or more times during the month would generally spend less with the monthly pass.

For a senior paying $1 per day, a $35 annual pass may be useful with frequent visits. Because the current monthly senior price is inconsistent across county sources, confirm it rather than budgeting from an unverified amount.

Open Gym, Basketball, Volleyball & Indoor Sports

Desert Breeze has two large gymnasiums used for sports, open recreation, leagues, special programming and reservations. Building access alone does not guarantee court availability.

Open Basketball

Public gym periods depend on the recreation calendar. Leagues, youth programs and private reservations can restrict court use.

Adult Volleyball

Clark County lists adult volleyball among the center’s programs. Registration, team requirements and schedule depend on the current season.

Youth Basketball

Youth leagues focus on skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Age groups, registration periods and costs are announced by session.

Senior Recreation

Depending on the season, senior recreation may include walking club, pickleball, badminton, basketball and other organized activities.

Open gym admission

ParticipantPublished county gym fee
Teens 13–17Free
Adults 18–54$2 daily / $12 for 30 days
Seniors 55+Free

Reference prices come from Clark County’s 2024 fees-and-charges ordinance. These are not confirmed as the current 2026 gym admission rates. Confirm the charge and activity eligibility with Desert Breeze before visiting.

How to find an open gym session

  1. Open the official Desert Breeze Community Center page.
  2. Find the “Open Gym” or applicable sports-program link.
  3. Review the current calendar or contact the recreation desk.
  4. Ask whether basketball, volleyball, pickleball or another activity is permitted during that session.
  5. Confirm admission, minimum age, supervision requirements and available equipment.
  6. Bring indoor athletic shoes and arrive ahead of the activity start time.
Coming with a team? Do not assume public gym hours allow organized team practice, private coaching or exclusive court use. Ask about gym reservations if you need guaranteed court time.

Classes, Youth Programs, Camps & Senior Activities

Desert Breeze offers more than sports. Clark County lists performing arts, creative programs, early childhood activities, teen recreation, camps and senior programming.

Senior Programs: Recreation for Adults 50+

Desert Breeze’s senior program brochure identifies activities for residents age 50 and older. However, its fitness-room senior discount starts at age 55. These are two different eligibility thresholds.
