Public Ice Skating: Prices, Rentals & How to Attend

The Champion Center occasionally offers public Open Skate sessions. These are separate from private ice rentals, hockey practice and tournament ice bookings.

Open Skate Admission

$7 per person. The cost applies when a public open-skating session is offered.

Skate Rental

$3 per rental. Ask about available sizes before a group visit.

Current availability: As of October 19, 2026, the official ice schedule says there are no upcoming open-skate dates posted. The $7 price does not mean visitors can skate at any time.

How to check for skating

  1. Open the official Ice Schedule webpage.
  2. Look for the Open Skate Opportunities section.
  3. Check upcoming dates or linked Facebook events.
  4. Confirm any age, supervision or equipment requirements.
  5. Bring suitable clothing and gloves for rink conditions.
  6. Arrive during the posted session, not the general building opening time.

If no public skating is listed, contact the venue about private ice rental rather than arriving without a reservation.

Court Rentals, Ice Rentals & Tournament Bookings

Individuals, schools, clubs and organizers may inquire about court time, ice time, practices, birthday parties or larger sporting events. Availability depends on existing tournament and league commitments.

How to request a rental

1

Identify your sport and group

Specify basketball, volleyball, hockey, skating, pickleball or another approved activity. Include the number and age of participants.

2

Choose possible dates

Prepare several date and time options because tournaments may occupy large portions of the facility.

3

Select the right contact

Email Will Olewinski for weekday court/ice use or Adam Ligocki for larger tournaments.

4

Explain your requirements

Include court count, ice duration, equipment, locker rooms, spectator estimates, setup and any special staffing needs.

5

Request a written quote

Ask about current hourly costs, deposits, cancellations, insurance, access time and what equipment is included.

6

Finalize with the facility

Complete the official reservation agreement and required payment before treating your booking as confirmed.

Why no fixed court rental price? The facility does not publish one universal price list covering every sport, event type and season. A written quote is more reliable than inventing a general hourly rate.
