Which Pass Makes Sense?

Swimming Lessons & Aquatic Fitness

The center offers swim instruction throughout the year at different ability levels, along with aquatic fitness programs. The pool also hosts swim-team activity, including local youth and school teams.

For pool access planning, it helps to distinguish lap swimming, open swim, swim lessons and reserved team practice. Our Brecksville Community Center pool guide illustrates how different aquatic facilities separate these schedules and admission rules.

  • Comfortable exercise clothing.
  • Closed-toe athletic shoes unless the specific class allows an exception.
  • Workout towel and drinking water.
  • Membership card or applicable day-pass payment.
  • Any equipment specified by the instructor.

Planning tip: Check the exact room and class start time rather than only the building’s operating hours. Fitness schedules can change monthly, while the gym may be reserved for youth sports or private events.

For a comparison of recreation programming and gym access at another municipally operated center, see our Blacksburg Community Center hours and activity guide.

How to Find & Join a Class

  1. Choose the type of workout or age-specific activity.
  2. Review the monthly fitness or gymnasium schedule.
  3. Confirm the correct class room, instructor and eligibility.
  4. Ask whether advance registration is needed.
  5. Arrive early enough to complete check-in before the scheduled start.

Child Watch: Hours, Fees & Parent Rules

Cabot Community Center provides supervised on-site child-watch services for eligible children while parents or guardians use the recreation facility. This is not a full-day childcare or independent drop-off service.

Child Watch DetailPublished Information

Saturday mornings8:30–11:30 AM

Age and supervision: The facility rules describe eligible children as approximately 12 weeks through 12 years old and require parents to remain on-site. The older rules PDF and the current program page differ slightly on hourly billing and some evening times. Use the current childcare page for prices and confirm the day’s closing time before relying on the service.

Parents should check capacity, pickup rules, illness policies, eligible ages and required account information at the front desk before bringing a child for the first time.

Cabot Community Center Rentals & Party Prices

The facility offers several different rental arrangements. Choose the correct area before requesting availability because gym parties, indoor pool parties and Veterans Park Event Center bookings have different conditions and prices.

Gym & Pool Rentals

RentalPublished Price & Conditions
Half Gym / Court B$250 for 2 hours for non-members; Saturday 2:00–4:00 PM listed rental window
Eligible Member Gym Rental$200 for 2 hours under the facility rules
Half Indoor Pool$250 for 2 hours for non-members
Eligible Member Pool Rental$225 for 2 hours under the facility rules
Party ExtrasFun House inflatable for gym or Dual Racer inflatable for pool available on request at no additional charge where offered

Published member rental discounts apply to qualifying six-month or annual memberships. Reservations generally require at least seven days’ notice, and pool parties are ordinarily offered from October through April, subject to swim meets and staffing.

Before paying: Confirm whether the quoted rental includes admission for every guest, any required supervision, lifeguards, setup, cleanup and the inflatable you want. A public webpage price does not establish that a date is available.

Veterans Park Event Center Rates

The separate Veterans Park Event Center offers flexible space for reunions, meetings, receptions, weddings, training sessions and larger community events.

Event SpaceMon–WedThu–Sun
Whole facility, approximately 9,420 sq ft$450$900
Half facility, approximately 4,710 sq ft$250$450
Quarter facility, approximately 2,355 sq ft$150$300

These published base prices cover a consecutive six-hour rental window. Tables and chairs are included in the listed arrangements. Kitchen access is included in whole-facility rental; a $100 kitchen add-on is published for smaller room rentals.

Common Event Center Extras

  • Stage setup: $200.
  • Additional rental time: $100 per hour.
  • White chair covers: $3 per cover, with a 50-cover minimum.
  • Other microphone, audiovisual, layout and equipment options may carry separate charges.

Event Center pricing is separate from the $5 facility admission. For a pool-focused celebration versus a larger multiroom event, compare space requirements, staffing, time limits and add-ons before selecting a package. Another helpful comparison is our Becker Community Center visitor guide, which covers indoor recreation and family-activity planning.
