Monticello Community Center Hours

The City’s current About Us page distinguishes summer operating hours from standard hours. The summer schedule applies through October 31, 2026.

DaySummer Hours
May 1–Oct 31
Standard Hours
Monday–Friday5 AM–8 PM5 AM–8 PM
Saturday7 AM–5 PM7 AM–7 PM
SundayClosed7 AM–5 PM
Important: some older City pages still display different facility hours. For a visit on or after November 1, check the current MCC business-hours notice or call 763-295-2954 before leaving. Building hours are not the same as pool, climbing wall, ice rink or open-gym hours.

October–December 2026 Repair Project

Repair work began October 12, 2026 and is scheduled to continue in phases through the end of the year. The City expects MCC to remain operational, but work involving upper-level windows, fitness-area access and an elevator upgrade may affect particular areas.

  • Check whether your planned activity is temporarily relocated or restricted.
  • Ask about accessible routes if elevator access is important.
  • Allow time to navigate construction signage.
  • Confirm the pool, track, fitness or climbing schedule separately.

The City is also planning its MCC Family Day on November 1, 2026, from 11 AM–5 PM, with special programming. Event hours should not be assumed to represent ordinary Sunday opening hours.

2026 Day Pass Prices

AdmissionMonticello ResidentNonresident
Single day pass$11$13
10-visit facility pass$90$110
Open skate session$6 per skate reservation; skate rental $3

A day pass provides access to qualifying recreational amenities during their scheduled public-use periods. Private programs, instruction, rentals and certain other services can cost extra.

One Visit

Choose the daily fee if you are trying the center once, visiting from outside Monticello or do not know how frequently you will return.

Repeated Visits

Ten resident day admissions would cost $110, compared with a $90 ten-visit pass. For a nonresident, ten individual visits cost $130 versus a $110 pass.

Residency matters: city-resident rates apply to eligible residents within Monticello city limits, not automatically to everyone with a Monticello mailing address.

Swim Lessons

Monticello offers structured learn-to-swim programming, with age and skill categories described in its seasonal brochures. The Spring 2026 program brochure identifies the Aquatic Supervisor as Corinne Mitchell, phone 763-271-7122.

Before registering, match the swimmer to the correct skill level, confirm the session dates and check whether lessons require a separate fee beyond daily admission or membership.

Visitors comparing other swimming facilities can use our Matt Dishman indoor pool and community center guide to understand how public-swim schedules and entry rules differ by operator.

Multi-level indoor children’s playground for ages 12 and younger. Socks are required and access follows the applicable play-area schedule.

The center also operates recreational leagues and scheduled homeschool activities. Access to the climbing wall, ice rink, supervised play and gym can depend on scheduled staffing or reservations.

For another Minnesota municipal recreation facility with gym, fitness and walking-track amenities, read our North End Community Center guide for Saint Paul. It is a separate center with different pricing and facilities.

MCC provides group packages and overnight-style lock-in events for approved organizations.

The published after-hours lock-in program runs from 9 PM to 1 AM and can include two hours of pool access, two hours of climbing wall use, and gymnasium and Warehouse room access throughout the rental period.

The City uses a base price for the first 40 participants, with options for additional attendees. A 50% down payment is due at booking and the remainder is payable before the event.

Climbing access depends on staff availability and must be scheduled in advance.

Group organizer checklist: ask for staff supervision requirements, minimum and maximum attendance, after-hours access arrangements, participant waivers, swim supervision, food rules, payment deadlines and cancellation terms.
