Senior$160$200
Family$390$535

Six-month full-time/part-time business rates are $160/$210 for adults, $95/$115 for seniors and $225/$305 for families. Qualifying employees must provide appropriate proof of employment.

Family membership: the standard package covers up to five eligible household members: two adults and up to three dependent children age 23 or younger, all living at the same address. An additional eligible family member requires a separate fee.

For residents, a family annual membership costs $285, compared with $175 for an individual adult. Which option provides better value depends on how many eligible household members plan to use the center.

What Documents Are Needed?

  • Residents age 18 or older must provide two proofs of residency.
  • Seniors should provide proof of age.
  • Business-rate applicants must provide proof of qualifying employment.
  • Military members seeking an applicable benefit need their active military identification and any required residency documents.
  • Family applicants should be ready to establish household eligibility.

Important: the City says new memberships must be purchased in person at the center. Do not assume an online program account completes your membership purchase.

Daily Guest Passes: Can You Visit Without Membership?

Middleburg Heights Community Center has stricter visitor admission rules than many public recreation facilities.

Do not arrive expecting to buy a standalone walk-in pass. The City FAQ states that guests must be accompanied by a member who has purchased a member guest punch pass. Thursdays have additional restrictions: nonresident guest passes are not sold on Thursdays, and that day is reserved for members and Middleburg Heights residents.

Published Guest Rates

Resident age 3–59$5
Resident age 60+$4
Nonresident age 2 or underFree

Adult guest-pass applicants must show a valid driver’s license or state identification card. The City also states that identification is scanned for building-use and sex-offender registry screening purposes.

Extended-stay guest passes may be available through an accompanying member. The published standard rate for ages 3–59 is $30 per week, up to four weeks. Confirm eligibility before paying.

Best Option for Different Visitors

Middleburg Heights Resident

Compare resident annual and six-month rates. Bring two residency documents if you are an adult applying for membership.

Nonresident

Consider a nonresident membership if you want independent, regular access. Guest admission requires an eligible accompanying member.

Senior Visitor

Compare the $60 resident senior annual rate or the nonresident senior rate. Ask about insurance-based fitness benefits.

Occasional Family Guest

Check whether a current member can bring you through the guest-pass system and confirm the day-specific rules.

Indoor Pool, Waterslide & Aquatic Rules

The indoor aquatic area has a free-form recreational pool with lap swimming, zero-depth entry, current channel, water features, waterslide and spa amenities. It operates year-round subject to maintenance, staffing and program closures.

Indoor Pool Hours

DayPublished Pool Hours
Monday–Friday6:00 AM – 8:50 PM
Saturday7:00 AM – 8:50 PM
Sunday12:00 PM – 6:50 PM

Open recreational swimming, scheduled water exercise, adult swim, swim lessons, the slide and lap lanes do not necessarily operate throughout the entire posted pool window.

Key Safety & Age Rules

  • Water slide: riders must be at least 48 inches tall. Goggles and flotation devices are not permitted on the slide.
  • Zero-depth play area: intended for children ages 8 and younger with direct parental supervision.
  • Spa/whirlpool: restricted to ages 15 and older.
  • Sauna and steam room: ages 15 and older.
  • Swim diapers: required for infants and toddlers who need diapers, together with appropriate swimwear.
  • Lap swimming: lane availability can change during scheduled classes.
  • Supervision: parents remain responsible for supervising young children even when lifeguards are present.
Before arriving for lap swimming: check the current indoor lap-lane schedule. The City says a lap lane is generally available for adults except as indicated in the posted program schedule.

For an example of how another public center separates pool hours, adult swim, lap lanes and general admission, see our Matt Dishman indoor pool and visitor guide. Middleburg Heights’ own pool rules remain the authority for this facility.

Outdoor Pool: Seasonal Access

The outdoor aquatic complex has a zero-depth beach-style entry, shallow children’s play zone, water features, vortex/current areas, lap-swim space and outdoor waterslide.

The City’s published 2026 late-season schedule listed weekday swimming from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM and weekend swimming from noon to 6:45 PM beginning August 20, weather permitting.

Current seasonal status: the City listed September 6, 2026, as the final day of the outdoor pool season. As of October 26, 2026, that season is over. Outdoor pool hours for a future season should not be assumed from the 2026 schedule.

Use the indoor pool for year-round swimming, subject to the live aquatic calendar and membership or guest restrictions.

Fitness Center, Walking Track & Pickleball

Fitness Equipment

The center offers cardio machines, circuit and resistance equipment, free weights and plate-loaded equipment. Its published guidance distinguishes between cardio equipment and free-weight access for younger users.

  • Ages 12–14 may use eligible Nautilus/cardio equipment while accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  • Children under 15 are not permitted in the free-weight area.
  • Children younger than 12 need adult supervision on the walking track.
  • During busy periods, users are asked to limit time on individual exercise machines to approximately 30 minutes.

Indoor Walking Track

The facility features a four-lane indoor elevated track. Approximately 12 laps on the outer lane or 13.5 on the innermost lane equal one mile, according to the City’s guidance.

Indoor Pickleball

The City currently lists member-only indoor pickleball open play on weekdays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Courts are first-come, first-served and may be affected by other activities.
