Fitness classes and child care are not covered by the ordinary day-pass price. Some registered activities, lessons and special programs have separate charges.
- Day-pass visitors must be at least 14 years old to use the full fitness center.

- Buying admission does not guarantee that a particular pool lane or gym court is open.
- Participants must follow the center’s supervision and facility-use policies.
Example: two Mansfield-resident adults visiting once would pay $22 in adult admission at the displayed day-pass rates. Two nonresident adults would pay $26. These examples exclude separate paid activities.
Membership Prices: Annual vs Monthly
Memberships are available for individuals, young adults, adults with children, and households. The Town maintains three pricing groups: Mansfield residents, Ashford/Willington residents and other nonresidents.

How membership categories work
- Individual: one person age 27 or older.
- Youth / Young Adult: one eligible person ages 12–26.
- Adult / Child: one adult age 18+ and their household children ages 11 or younger.
- Family / Household: two household members age 12+ plus additional qualifying people residing in the same household.
Eligible SilverSneakers and Renew Active participants may qualify for insurance-subsidized membership. Check your specific plan before assuming eligibility.

Which Pass Should You Choose?
| Your Plan | Practical Choice |
|---|---|
| One visit for swimming or gym use | Buy a day pass. |
| Occasional weekend recreation | Compare total expected day-pass spending with the monthly price. |
| Exercise or swimming several times weekly | Consider individual membership. |
| One adult with children age 11 or younger | Compare Adult/Child membership. |
| Multiple household members age 12+ | Check Family/Household eligibility. |
| Only interested in a registered class | Check whether class enrollment is available without membership. |
| Eligible senior with insurance fitness benefits | Check SilverSneakers or Renew Active qualification first. |
For example, a Mansfield adult paying $11 each time would spend $44 on four day-pass visits. The posted $38.96 individual monthly membership may be cheaper for that usage, but enrollment fees and membership terms affect the actual first-month cost.

Fitness Center, Track & Youth Age Restrictions
Some Mansfield Community Center activities have stricter minimum ages than general facility admission.
| Age / Group | Published Access Rule |
|---|---|
| Age 14+ | Eligible to use the full fitness center subject to membership, admission and facility policies. |
| Ages 12–13 | May use the indoor track independently, but not general fitness equipment. |
| Ages 10–13 | May access selected fitness activities during designated youth hours with appropriate supervision and required orientation. |
| Children under 10 | Family track access requires an accompanying adult under the published age-specific rules. |
| Children ages 8–11 | May use eligible age-appropriate spaces with their qualifying guardian in the building. |
| Minors under 18 | Unaccompanied facility visits are subject to the published four-hour daily limit. |
Designated family fitness periods and youth equipment rules may change. Parents should confirm access before bringing children to use the track or equipment.

Child Care & Teen Center
On-site child care
Child care is offered for children ages 1–7, with a maximum of two hours per visit. The parent or guardian must remain inside the building while the child is receiving care.
| Visitor | Child Care Charge |
|---|---|
| Eligible members | Included without a separate child-care charge |
| Nonmembers | $5 per child per hour |
| Maximum session | 2 hours per visit |
Check the current child-care room schedule, staffing, capacity, check-in procedures and age requirements before planning a workout around the service. Ordinary day admission does not include free child care for nonmembers.
Teen Center
The Teen Center serves qualifying students in grades 5–12. A parent- or guardian-signed registration form is required, and participants must follow check-in and check-out procedures. The center’s supervised hours vary by school calendar and season.
For younger middle-school participants, pickup and sign-out requirements are especially important. Do not assume a child can independently leave the facility after a Teen Center session.
