Quick Answer: What Can You Do Here?
The OFJCC welcomes people from different backgrounds, faiths and age groups. You do not need to be Jewish to explore membership or many community activities. However, a particular class, fitness facility or event may require membership, a guest pass or advance registration.
If you are comparing JCC facilities across cities, our guide to Jewish Community Center programs and visitor rules explains differences in memberships, public events, holiday schedules and guest access.
Operating Hours: Fitness, Offices and Outdoor Areas
One important detail: the community center does not use a single opening schedule for every activity.
| Area | Monday–Friday | Weekend |
|---|---|---|
| Indoor fitness | Mon–Thu: 6 AM–9 PM Friday: 6 AM–8 PM | Saturday & Sunday: 7 AM–6 PM |
| Outdoor fitness | 6 AM–8 PM | 7 AM–5 PM |
| Administrative offices | 9 AM–5 PM | Typically closed |
| Indoor and outdoor pools | Separate activity schedules; verify lap swim, lessons, family swim and team-practice closures. | |
The Bill Heller Outdoor Pool normally has a Monday, Wednesday and Friday swim-team closure from 4:30–5:30 PM. The indoor pool has its own lesson and activity timetable.
Programs by Age, Interest and Visitor Goal
Choose a program based on what you want to accomplish. A gym membership, preschool application, event ticket and Hebrew class do not have identical registration requirements.
| Program | Who it serves | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Fitness & group classes | Adults and eligible teens | Gym equipment, yoga, Pilates, cycling, strength, dance fitness and personal training. |
| Aquatics | Adults, children and families | Lap swimming, water fitness, family swim, swimming lessons and youth swim activities. |
| Leslie Family Preschool | Young children, approximately 18 months–5 years | Age-group programs with half-day, full-day and extended-care options. |
| Club J | Transitional kindergarten–grade 5 | Afterschool care, enrichment and supervised activities. |
| J-Camp | School-age children and teens | Seasonal day camps, swimming, activities and selected specialty programs. |
| Beged Kefet | School-age Hebrew learners | Hebrew language, Israeli culture and age-appropriate classes. |
| Adult Ulpan | Adult Hebrew learners | Beginner through advanced Hebrew-language courses. |
| Family & cultural events | Families and the wider community | Celebrations, concerts, learning opportunities and social activities. |

Fitness Membership, Guest Access and Costs
Fitness membership generally provides access to the Goldman Sports & Wellness Complex, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, swimming facilities and many group exercise classes. Some premium activities, personal training and other services have separate charges.
Options include individual, family, single-parent family, family-plus and flexible membership arrangements. Selected younger-adult, senior, teen and partner-organization discounts may be available.
Current membership pricing depends on the plan. The center directs visitors to its membership team for exact quotations.
The fitness website advertises a free three-day trial-pass enquiry. Day-pass availability and guest rules can change.
The $35 individual and $65 couple/family summer pass was a promotion for June 15–August 15, 2026, and should not be treated as a current year-round price.
OFJCC also describes a five-center Bay Area JCC Network Access option involving Palo Alto, Marin, San Francisco, Foster City and Los Gatos. It requires separate network enrollment and has restrictions, including limits on children’s access.
Swimming, Gymnasium and Sports
Heated outdoor swimming facilities support lap swimming, aquatic fitness and other scheduled activities. The pool has a separate daily schedule, including designated swim-team practice periods.
Indoor family swimming includes water-play features and scheduled lessons. Some areas may be unavailable during instruction or specific programs.
Basketball, open gym and pickleball are among the scheduled activities. Court access may be restricted during private programming or reserved sessions.
Indoor strength/cardio equipment, yoga and Pilates areas, and approximately 25,000 square feet of outdoor fitness space are among the center’s advertised amenities.
Before swimming: verify whether your session is lap swim, family swim, a lesson or a team-practice block. For open gym, confirm available courts and whether a non-member day pass is accepted.
Check official pool and gym schedule links.Preschool, Afterschool and Family Activities
Families should choose programs using their child’s age or school grade first, then compare schedule, tuition, extended care and registration availability.
Leslie Family Preschool
The preschool offers two-, three- and five-day options, with half-day and full-day programs for eligible age groups. Typical half-day hours are 9 AM–1 PM, while full-day programs run 9 AM–4 PM; some older-child options use different end times.
- Morning extended care: 8–9 AM.
- Afternoon extended care: 4–6 PM.
- Monthly tuition depends on age group, attendance days and program.
- Sibling savings and needs-based assistance may be available.
- Ask about space availability and the applicable age cutoff before applying.
The published 2026–27 tuition information includes monthly fees above $1,000 for some part-week options and above $3,000 for some full-day options. Tuition is program-specific; do not budget from one example without matching your child’s program.
Club J Afterschool
Club J serves TK through fifth grade with afterschool supervision and enrichment. It generally operates from school dismissal until 6 PM on applicable school days. Transportation is available for selected schools, subject to program arrangements.
Family events
Parent-child classes, Jewish holiday celebrations, movement activities and family learning events are offered throughout the year. Each event has its own age range, registration policy and fees.
Jewish Culture, Community Events and Learning
OFJCC provides Jewish cultural and educational opportunities alongside its recreation services. Programs include Hebrew classes, Jewish and Israeli cultural events, holiday activities, exhibitions, lectures and gatherings for different age groups.
Some programs take place in English, others in Hebrew. Check the event listing for language, age suitability, price, registration, exact campus room and start time.
