Bring identification when purchasing a membership. The City accepts proof such as a driver’s license, state-issued ID or birth certificate. Proof of residency may be needed to receive resident rates.

Save money: An adult Fort Worth resident who visits six times using $7 day passes would spend $42. The annual adult center membership is $40, so regular visitors should compare the yearly option before repeatedly buying daily admission. Fitness-room access is separate.

Fort Worth states membership cards can be used at other municipal community centers and Haws Athletic Center. For another Fort Worth facility, see our Southwest Community Center hours, membership and recreation guide. Southwest offers Bronze Tier fitness access rather than Chisholm Trail’s Gold Tier.

Gold Tier Fitness Membership: Actual Prices

Chisholm Trail is listed as a Gold Tier fitness facility. Fort Worth’s Gold membership permits access to Gold, Silver and Bronze Tier community-center fitness rooms.

The City’s fitness pricing combines annual center membership with fitness access. Do not add the annual community membership price again unless staff specifically explains a separate charge.

For Occasional Recreation

Choose daily admission or a basic center membership if you mainly want scheduled open play, sports or community activities.

For Regular Workouts

Compare monthly and yearly Gold memberships. An adult resident paying $24 monthly would spend $288 over 12 months, versus $190 for the published yearly plan.

Some eligible older adults may qualify for supported fitness programs such as SilverSneakers or Renew Active. Check eligibility with the program and the center before purchasing a paid membership.

Skatepark, Prairie Trail & Outdoor Recreation

The center is located alongside a preserved section of Fort Worth prairie, with outdoor recreation as one of its main attractions.

2.4-Mile Prairie Trail

The City highlights a 2.4-mile trail route through the prairie landscape. The area is particularly appealing for walking, enjoying wildflowers and exploring natural open space.

  • Wear walking shoes.
  • Carry water in hot weather.
  • Check conditions after heavy rain.
  • Stay on established routes.
  • Watch for uneven surfaces.

Skatepark & Playground

The center includes a skatepark and family recreation features. The park’s outdoor areas can be a useful option when indoor court times are fully booked.

  • Use suitable protective equipment.
  • Observe the posted skatepark rules.
  • Supervise younger children.
  • Confirm any weather-related closures.
  • Do not assume all outdoor features remain open after dark.
Local tip: The trail and outdoor features are separate reasons to visit, but indoor building hours should not be treated as guaranteed operating hours for every outdoor amenity. Check on-site signs for access and safety rules.
